Workshop – Home Modifications for Outdoor Access and Entry
The final Brisbane workshop for 2014 will be held at LifeTec Qld, on Friday 12 December, from 8am (registration) to 4pm.
The workshop on home modifications for outdoor access and entry aims to provide occupational therapy practitioners and people working in the building industry with:
• Information on the relevance and application of Access Standards and the National Construction Code to modifications for outdoor areas
• Practical information on commonly encountered barriers, and design and product solutions (eg vertical lifts, ramps, paths, handrails, kerb rails)
• Information about design and product resources to assist clinical practice
• Opportunity to discuss and problem solve case scenarios from their own work setting
