I have just discovered the Australian Building Codes Board powerpoint presentation on the Premises Standard that is worth looking at – see http://www.abcb.gov.au/index.cfm?objectid=98DEFEE3-7458-11E0-9903001143D4D594
I have been searching for products that are height adjustable in the bathroom and have come across products from:
Enware – http://www.enware.com.au/estore/category.aspx?id=2930&FolderID=26
Linido – http://www.linido.com/index.php?page=producten&hoofdnav=6
I am wondering if anyone has found any other companies that provide height adjustable bathroom features – vanities etc?
I recently visited Rockhampton and spoke to a group of architects, builders and academics on design for diversity. One of the attendees encouraged me to view this website by a local manufacturer of concrete homes – http://www.chameleonaustralia.com.au/. I wonder if anyone is designing anything similar in Australia or elsewhere that provides access for older people and people with disabilities?
Landcom in Australia, have produced a resource that sets out some information on Universal Housing Design – see See http://www.landcom.nsw.gov.au/downloads/uploaded/Universal%20Housing%20Online%20Edition%20010708_1acb_2a93.pdf
