Objectives – to provide attendees with –

• Detail about the relevance and application of AS 1428.1 (2021) for grabrail solutions in the home setting – health, independence, safety considerations.
• Information about the latest research relating to grabrail prescription and the practical implications for OT recommendations
• Hints and tips for prescription including the measurement technique for sit to stand transfers, and managing transfers in and out of a bath
• Detail about product alternatives to meet client needs and expectations
• Practice drawing concept drawings and wording guidance documents to ensure clear communication
• Resource information to enhance practice

There will be brief presentations by company representatives who will showcase their product. There will be a showcase of film and photos to illustrate concepts. Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes as there will be  practical activities.
